What's been happening in Pre Primary?

With the end of Term 4 fast approaching the Pre Primary children have been busy little bees in the classroom. Over the last two weeks the children have been listening and viewing  a variety of Fairy tales and have been looking closely at the different characters, settings and sequence in Fairy tale and storybooks. Last week it was time to put on the gardening gloves, get out the shovels and start digging up the potatoes that had been planted in Term 3. The children had a lot of fun digging out the potatoes which came in all shapes and sizes and to their delight they found  over 15 potatoes. There has been lots of discussion about the best way to cook them. Our Spring garden has come into flower and is looking amazing at the moment, if you have time come and check out the beautiful colourful Spring flowers outside PPW.
As part of the Pre Primary transition into Year 1, each Monday and Tuesday the children will be having their recess and play with the rest of the school.
The Scitech excursion is this Tuesday the 15 November, thanks to all those parents who returned their permission slips back so quickly.
kind regards

Week 5

On Monday 15 August the children went to their first house mass in the church. All the Pre Primary children sat in their house factions and celebrated the Maguire house mass with the rest of the school.

Thank you for all the parents who attended the Pre Primary Prayer services this week. I am sure you will agree the children did an awesome job celebrating the 7 days of creation.

Just a reminder that the annual Fathers day breakfast will be on the Friday 2 September at 7 am, the children are encouraged to come along and enjoy the morning breakfast with their dads.

Pre Primary

Over the last two weeks both Pre Primary classes have been busy preparing and practising for their Prayer service which will be happening in week 5 and the whole school sports carnival which will held in week 9. It would be great if all the children could purchase their house faction shirt from the uniform shop before the school carnival on the 14 September.
The Pre Primary children will be attending the whole school mass on Monday 15 August so it is important that they all be at school by 8:30 am as we will be heading down to church at this time.

Welcome back to Term Three

On a chilly Monday morning it was great to see lots of smiley faces and enthusiastic children keen and ready to start a busy Term Three. Some of the topics taught this term will be finding out interesting facts about the olden days and how things have changed over time and they will also be learning about living and non ling things and how God is the creator of everything. Starting in week two the children are encouraged to say goodbye at the door to their family members at 8:30 am and come into the classroom independently and ready to the start the day. A note will be sent home next week explaining all the exciting events that will be happening this term. Both classes have been set up for some exciting learning.
